Last Sunday, HGTV had a one hour special with Sarah Richardson. Anyone else see it? Honestly, I was pumped all day long to watch this special as we fans rarely get a glimpse into her personal life. This show was all about how she plans a Christmas drop-in party for her 200 friends that has been going on for the last eight years. Talk about inspiring. To me, Sarah is one of those women who I always aspire to mimic but always fall short because you know, I am human. She seems a bit super human to me in her efficiency and grace. I don’t know how she runs a very successful business, handles her staff, has two small children, runs a beautiful home and shares this all with a seemingly great husband. Some women have it all. Anyway, this post is not about how great Sarah is. To me, she is pretty close to perfect.
This post is all about the fantastic Christmas ideas she presented to us viewers. The one thing I loved the most was the inexpensive colored pinecone decorations. This idea is the absolute best ever! It got me thinking about when I get my own place, in the future, and all the decorating that I would do. NOTE: I hate Christmas decorating for some odd reason. I like the look but putting things up and dreadedly down makes my teeth grind. I hope my attitude will change when I have my own pad. In any case, this show made me all pensive and even more excited for Christmas. I love all the Christmas shows that come on this time of year. And, I love HGTV and Foodtv for spreading the joy. I am looking forward to the many more hours of cool TV shows to come in the next few weeks. Can’t wait.
